Full-text summarization

In the list of documents you will spot the label “full-text access” next to the title.

You can summarize the full-text of a single or multiple articles that have this label. If the “Full-Text” button is disabled, it means that some of the selected articles don’t have access to their full text and such a summary cannot be produced.

To create a full-text summary, follow these steps:

  1. Identify the documents in your dataset with the "full-text access" label. Only these can be used for full-text summarization.
  2. Select one or multiple documents with full-text access.
  3. Open the Summarize tool from the right-hand panel.
  4. Choose the "Full-Text Summary" option. If this option is disabled, it indicates that one or more selected documents lack full-text access.
  5. For single-document full-text summarization, the tool will generate a comprehensive summary of the entire text.
  6. For multi-document full-text summarization, the tool will produce a unified summary of the common topics or findings across the selected documents.
