Iris.ai announces collaboration with RISE on AI tools for “next generation sustainable composites”

Iris.ai is happy to announce the collaboration with Research Institute of Sweden (RISE). The project “next generation sustainable composites” just started this May and will be completed April 2022.

The main goal of the project is to develop a suite of AI tools for chemical research, specifically working on identifying novel application areas for sustainable materials or chemicals, where they can replace oil, gas and toxic chemicals.

Researchers from Iris.ai and RISE will work closely together to extract data from patents that are relevant to their research, and our joint work will make our Extract tools more powerful for chemical research.

The purpose of these tools at RISE SICOMP is to demonstrate the possibilities for discovering and adapting existing molecules across different areas, enabling the development of sustainable composite materials. AI-tools have the ability to help researchers find relevant scientific information faster and to support innovation.

Over the next few months we will collaborate on creating and identifying 3–4 use cases for sustainable materials or chemicals.

We are happy for this collaboration and can’t wait to share the results with you!

Iris.ai’s Extract tool fetches and links all the key data from patents and research papers into a tabular, machine readable, systematic format.

If you want to keep up with the project development you can find more details on the RISE website: https://www.ri.se/en/what-we-do/projects/ai-driven-research-on-the-next-generation-of-sustainable-composites
