Welcoming Our New CRO: Steven K Fung Joins Iris.ai to Scale Real-World AI Impact
Over the past decade, we’ve been building technology designed not for headlines, but for results. Technology grounded in science, explainability, and real-world complexity. Our mission has always been rooted in transforming deep knowledge — from scattered, unstructured sources — into insight that drives meaningful outcomes.
We’ve built that technology. Now it’s time to scale it.
That’s why we’re pleased to share that Steven K Fung has joined Iris.ai as our new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).
Why now, and why Steven
Steven’s background speaks for itself. He brings over 20 years of experience in AI, go-to-market strategy, and business transformation. Most recently, he led the AI and machine learning business at AWS for the UK and Ireland startup and enterprise software segments — driving rapid expansion with 200%+ growth over the past 2 years. His career spans leadership roles at Microsoft, Blackstone, and other global organizations, with a consistent focus: helping companies navigate complex transformation and accelerate adoption of new technology in high-stakes environments.
Steven joins Iris.ai at a pivotal moment in our growth. We’re entering a new phase — bringing our AI-native infrastructure to a broader set of enterprise challenges, with Neuralith™ and RSpace™ positioned to move customers from AI experimentation to real, measurable impact.
His perspective? Spot on.
“In this new era of AI, I’ve seen too many enterprises stuck in endless experimentation unable to unlock real business value,” Steven said when we first spoke. “What drives me is creating meaningful industry change and empowering people to solve deep problems, turn bold ideas into transformative AI products — and that’s exactly what Iris.ai is enabling.”
It’s rare to find someone who speaks the language of both strategy and execution with that level of clarity. Steven understands where the industry is stuck — and more importantly, how to get it unstuck.
He’s not here to sell empty promises — and neither are we. As he put it: “With a SaaS platform that breaks through fragmented data and compliance roadblocks, Iris.ai accelerates the journey from concept to scalable, enterprise-grade AI. I’m excited to join at this pivotal moment and help lead the next wave of AI innovation and adoption.”
Why this matters
The enterprise AI landscape is already crowded — but real, production-grade adoption remains rare. Too many teams are stuck in “pilot purgatory”, too many models are judged on benchmarks that don’t reflect business reality, and too few organizations are seeing true ROI from their AI investments.
We believe that’s solvable. But it requires the right combination of technology, timing, and leadership.
Steven’s appointment is a strategic step toward operationalizing that belief. With his leadership, we’re strengthening our commercial engine — not just to sell software, but to partner with organizations that are ready to move faster, build smarter, and trust the AI they’re deploying.
We’ve never been interested in surface-level transformation. We’re here to build the infrastructure for trustworthy, scalable AI — designed for the messy, nuanced, high-value knowledge that powers real innovation.
Where we go from here
We’re not pivoting. We’re not rebranding. We’re simply stepping more confidently into what we’ve been building toward all along: a world where deep knowledge flows more freely, powers more intelligent decisions, and delivers real outcomes.
Steven’s appointment isn’t just a milestone — it’s a signal. We’re here to scale with intention, partner more deeply, and continue delivering the kind of AI that doesn’t just look good in demos, but performs where it matters most.
Let’s make AI deliver.
